Amazing views and location

We stayed here fro four nights over easter and found it to be a beautiful location and building. There are three rooms and all come with a kitchen so you can buy food and cook or eat at nearby resturants. The apartment (we had the middle one or the two person suite rather than the smaller or larger suites) was great and sitting on the rocks near the sea and wathcing the sun go down was amazing. You will need a car to get to this hotel but the drive is worth it and if you want to see amazing scenary and the complee opposite to large scale mass tourism then this place is for you. There are beaches in walking distance.

Only small concern (and it was small) was that the promised internet was not working in the rooms however it did work in the garden...

Room Tip: get the end room for best views

Excellent place for family or romantic vacation

Katikies Manis is fine choice if you like sun, sea, tasty foods and quiet atmosphere.
Unfortunately there was no easy direct access to the sea from the villa but luckily there was absolutely beautiful pebbly beach in 10 minutes by walk (we also reached this beach by swimming, but this way was a little bit tricky because we had to go down to the sea on the rocks). On the beach there were no more than 2-3 families so we felt no crowded :)
The sea was very clean and comfortable for swimming and snorkeling, there were a lot of sea creatures – fishes, starfishes, crabs, and sometimes medusas :(. I would advise to take special swimming shoes because there can be some sea-urchins in the sea (not on the bottom but on the reefs). But if you will careful then this should not be a problem and you can enjoy observation of sea life.
In 7-10 minutes driving is located Stoupa - cozy small town with three sandy beaches, some supermarkets, number of souvenir shops and variety of restaurants, where you can taste seafood, fish and other delicious meals of Greek cuisine.
The staff in Katikies Manus was very nice, friendly and always ready to help or to advice something regarding local sights.

Lovely Guesthouse

My wife and spent 2 nights in the superior room. The guesthouse is only a few years old, and our room was quiet, clean, nicely appointed and well done. Staff was helpful and most gracious. We enjoyed our stay very much. We had a beautiful view from the room and its private patio which is nicely equipped with lounges, chairs and an umbrella table. It's a short walk (100 meters) to the guesthouse's private swimming area where they have a built a nice sun deck on the rocks immediately next to the sea. There is no beach at this location, but they have a "pool ladder" to access the sea. The water is wonderful....crystal clear and a delightful temperature...it is an area for snorkeling. The guesthouse is about 4 km south Kardamyli and a similar distance from Stoupa...both of which were delightful. Because the guesthouse is not in town, I would not want to be without a car. If you go, and we recommend it, be sure to have dinner at Lela's in Kardamyli; it is an absolute romantic delight immediately on the sea with fresh and delicious food. We went early as recommended by staff at the guesthouse to enjoy the spectacular view and romantic ambiance and lingered a very long time.

Way beyond our expectations!

We spent just one night here and wished we could have stayed longer. Absolutely the best accommodations we experienced in all of Greece!
We arrived around lunchtime after driving in from Olympia. Kiatiekies Manis was not my first choice in accommodations (we couldn't even get a reply to our inquiries for reservations at other places in Kardamyli), but once we arrived, I don't think we could have done any better! Since it was raining, we decided not to stop in town and instead just keep driving to the villa. The town is really too cute to miss, but once we arrived, we couldn't bear to leave! The villa is about a 15 minute drive out of town, so this is good/bad depending on whether you want to be able to tour the town or just kick back and relax in near total privacy.
We reserved the two bedroom unit and couldn't have been happier. We found fresh strawberries, a few sodas and beer and a bottle of wine in the fridge as well as bananas and toast waiting for us. The whole unit was incredibly spacious, and the views! Amazing.
We dragged ourselves back out to town and bought a loaf of bread at the bakery, as well as a few groceries at the supermarket, and rushed back to the villa to chill out. We cooked our own dinner in the well-stocked kitchen and enjoyed a lovely dinner with a backdrop of the sunset on the patio. Heaven!
We only had the most minor of issues: When we arrived, there were no instructions as to how to enter. We finally called the number on the sign and a representative for the owner showed up within ten minutes to unlock our unit and let us in. The owner showed up a few hours later and assisted us with the use of the wi-fi (which, due to the massive stone walls does not work too well inside the villa- but we were able to catch a decent connection sitting outside after the rain stopped), as well as the DVD player which we could not get to work for us. The unit was well-stocked with many DVDs, and when she could not get the unit to operate well, either, she brought one in from another unit and offered to run into town to buy another one on the spot (which we declined). Very responsive! The only thing we wished we'd gone over with the owner or her representative was the use of the lights. We couldn't seem to find the switches for some of the overhead lights as night fell, particularly the chandelier above the dining table.
Overall, this stay was A++++ and we all wished we could stay much longer!
